D.R.D. RECORDS *SONIC SMACKDOWN 2011*
First off, there were so many awesome NW bands. It was such a hard decision. We want to thank all the bands who submitted their music. You are all great NW Talents! Unfortunately we could only take some of you home with us :)
The shows are all at Dante's in Portland Oregon. At least one band from each show moves into the finals. The finals show, one band will win The DRD RECORDS RECORDING CONTRACT WORTH OVER $50,000.00. Two others will win a singles release deal with DRD Records. Congrats to all the bands!

Tickets to all shows on sale now. Each advanced ticket purchaser gets to vote for your favorite band at the time of purchase, plus they get an additional vote the night of the show. This is to encourage advance ticket sales. We want to make sure the shows are packed for the bands playing them & for the club to continue to give us nights at their great venue.

Deadline to enter is September 21st, 2011 (midnight).
8 to 12 bands from all entries will be selected to compete from (Oregon & Washington only) in the Semi Finals.
4 Semi Final Round Shows in Portland Oregon.
Two or three bands compete in each semi final show with one band advancing to finals.
These shows will be in November 2011 @ DANTES.
Winners selected by voting / crowd.
50% Judges (Judges score bands up to 50 points on: Crowd response, Performance, Song writing, Stage presence.
50% Crowd. (each person through the door registers who they are there for. That counts as a vote for said band)
For each ticket purchased online. There will be an option to vote for one band. (This is an extra vote only for advance ticket buyers)
This is to encourage advance ticket sales.
Finals in February 2012 @ Dantes in Portland Oregon
4 Bands compete. One band leaves SONIC SMACK DOWN CHAMPION.
Winner will receive a Recording contract from DRD RECORDS and all that goes along with that. Plus prizes TBA.

How To Enter DRD RECORDS SONIC SMACK DOWN CONTEST
We are choosing 8 to 12 semi final bands. They will compete two to three per show at Dante's in Portland, Oregon. The shows will take place November 3rd, 10th, 17th & December 1st, 2011. Two bands per round with one winner from each of the four Semi final shows moving on to finals in January / February. (TBA)
How to enter:
Step 1: Send an email to info@drdrecords.com containing the following information: In the subject line, ..........."SonicSmackdown2011 Entry". The name of the band, and the names, ages and roles (instrument, vocals, etc) of all ...........band members, and a contact email and phone number
Step 2: Go to our DRD RECORDS facebook page & LIKE us *Click here to go to page now
Step 3: Post a Youtube video of your band to DRD Records Facebook* wall. Video can be your band live or studio recording. ...........Full production does not need to be done - just enough to let us hear your sound and/or see your band.
Must be an original song. (youtube works great for posting.
Step 4: Get your fans / friends to like your video posted to our page. (8 bands are chosen from all videos submitted. The top
2 videos with the most LIKES automatically get into the Semi Finals. DRD chooses the other 6 bands).
